Job Description
Skillventory is hiring for a leading NBFC in Mumbai.
Role & responsibilities
• Conduct periodic and surprise audits of assigned branches in accordance with the internal audit plan and regulatory expectations.
• Ensure compliance with RBI Master Directions and other applicable NBFC regulatory frameworks.
• Review statutory display requirements at branch premises and verify their adequacy and accuracy.
• Examine customer files, loan documents, KYC records, and ensure completeness and authenticity.
• Conduct customer visits, wherever required, to validate loan disbursement practices and usage verification.
• Assess branch-level controls over cash management, security, IT systems, and physical infrastructure.
• Identify gaps, control deficiencies, process lapses and recommend actionable improvements.
• Draft audit observations and reports, highlighting non-compliance and risks with root cause analysis and suggested corrective actions.
• Follow up on implementation of past audit recommendations to ensure closure.
• Assist in fraud risk assessments and provide early warning signals through branch level insights.
• Collaborate with other assurance and business teams to promote a culture of compliance and control.
