Job Description

Executing day to day tasks to record, update, manage organization’s IT hardware, software assets and Configuration Items (CIs) within CMDB and SAM tool

Actioning requests and keeping track of hardware assets through its movements (installs, moves, adds, changes and disposal) including for audit purposes. This including assist with integration with other closely related processes and practices e.g. User New Joiners / Movers / Leavers, End User Computing, Procurement, Data Center Management

Actioning requests and keeping track of software license allocation. Managing software license and contract register

Performing regular audit and data analysis to improve the data quality of managed assets and processes / producers that maintain them. Highlighting any gaps and discrepancies found, resolving the issues, and escalating it to management as required

Assist with management reporting on IT assets as required

Create, review and update knowledge articles / internal documentation related to the management of IT assets processes / procedures for both internal team use and for our key stakeholders and customers

Follows Asset data governance processes and procedures as needed

Essential Skills and Experience
Excellent administration skills with an eye for detail and self-motivated
Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in performing Hardware Asset Management and/or
Software Asset Management at a medium to large organization
Experience working with IT Service Management and Asset Management tools such as ServiceNow is
preferred
Enterprise software licensing knowledge
Strong data analytical skills and comfortable working with large data sets.
Good interpersonal skills and strong verbal/written communications skills
Proven ability to show resiliency and be able to priorities key change activities within the business while managing stakeholder expectations

Essential Qualifications

Tertiary IT / Business qualification
ITIL V3 / V4 qualified
