Job Summary
As a Software Engineer (IoT), youll be at the core of our tech development?designing and implementing systems that power our electric bikes and fleet management software
Youll work closely with hardware engineers, data scientists, and product managers to develop firmware, cloud integrations, and backend services that bring our IoT ecosystem to life
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software for IoT-connected electric vehicles
Build and manage backend services and APIs to communicate with IoT devices
Work with hardware teams to ensure seamless firmware integration and communication protocols (MQTT, BLE, etc)
Develop data collection, storage, and analysis pipelines from connected devices
Ensure high reliability and fault tolerance in low-connectivity and edge environments
Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
Implement robust security protocols for device authentication and data encryption
Troubleshoot issues across the full stack from device firmware to cloud services
Contribute to architectural decisions and product strategy
Stay up to date with the latest trends in IoT, embedded systems, and edge computing
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
35 years of experience in software development, preferably with IoT or embedded systems
Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or Go
Experience working with IoT communication protocols: MQTT, HTTP, WebSocket, BLE, etc
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and IoT frameworks
Solid understanding of databases (SQL & NoSQL) and real-time data processing
Familiarity with firmware development and OTA (over-the-air) updates
Experience in API design and building microservices architectures
Knowledge of device security, encryption, and authentication best practices
