Inventory Executive

Job Description

Inventory & Allocation Management

• Manage day-to-day room inventory allocation across all channels (Brand.com, OTAs, GDS, B2B).
• Monitor blocked inventory (groups, promos, contracts) and ensure timely release of non-genuine or expired blocks.
• Ensure consistent availability and rate parity across all connected channels.
• Support seasonal and event-based inventory planning.

Systems & Channel Management

• Update and maintain inventory in PMS, Channel Manager, CRS, and OTA extranets.
• Audit room availability daily to identify discrepancies between systems.
• Coordinate with IT / system partners for mapping, connectivity, and issue resolution.
• Support inventory setup for new hotels / room types / rate plans.

Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with Sales, BD, and Reservations teams for group inventories, cut-off dates, and release policies.
• Ensure adherence to inventory blocking SOPs and escalation of deviations.
• Share regular inventory status updates with internal stakeholders.
• Assist in pre-opening and handover inventory readiness.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare daily / weekly inventory utilization reports.
• Track long-hold blockings and communicate action points for release.
• Support demand analysis, occupancy optimization, and forecasting exercises.
• Maintain trackers for allocation vs. budget / demand projections.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• % Reduction in unnecessary inventory blocking
• Inventory accuracy across systems
• Timely release of expired / rejected group blocks
• Channel availability compliance
• Reduction in overbooking / underselling instances

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of hotel inventory, distribution, and sales channels
• Working knowledge of PMS, Channel Managers, and OTA extranets
• Excellent Excel and reporting skills
• High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams
• Process-driven and compliance-oriented mindset

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate / Hotel Management qualification preferred
• 1 to 3 years of experience in hotel inventory, reservations, revenue, or distribution
• Experience with multi-property inventory management preferred
