Job Overview

Greenwich Packaging Ltd is seeking an experienced International Procurement Manager (IMPEX) to lead global sourcing for a UK-based packaging business. The role involves managing suppliers across China, Turkey, and India, ensuring cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely supply to support international operations.

Key Responsibilities

Global Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard international suppliers
• Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
• Monitor supplier performance based on cost, quality, and delivery

Cost Optimization & Procurement

• Drive cost-saving initiatives and negotiate pricing and commercial terms
• Manage the complete procurement cycle from RFQ to final delivery
• Align procurement activities with demand planning and inventory requirements

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UK/EU packaging standards
• Coordinate with QA teams for product approvals and certifications

Logistics & Supply Chain

• Manage international shipments with freight and logistics partners
• Optimize air and sea logistics based on cost and timelines
• Track shipments and resolve delays proactively

Risk Management & Reporting

• Identify supply chain risks and implement contingency plans
• Manage budgets, cost tracking, and MIS reporting
• Coordinate with finance teams for payment cycles and cash flow management

Key Requirements

• 510 years of experience in international procurement/sourcing
• Strong exposure to sourcing markets in China, Turkey, and India
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Expertise in vendor management, negotiation, and IMPEX processes
• Knowledge of Incoterms, global trade regulations, and documentation
• Understanding of packaging materials including paper, plastic, and sustainable packaging solutions

Preferred Skills

• Existing supplier network in target sourcing regions
