Job Description

Role: Payroll Manager

Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate

Experience: At least 8 years in handling Payroll (preferably 3000 + employees)

Location: Kurla, Mumbai

Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for 3,000+ employees.
Ensure accurate processing of salaries, incentives, reimbursements, F&F settlements, and statutory deductions.
Handle payroll compliances including PF, PT, TDS, ESI, LWF, gratuity, etc.
Prepare and validate salary Journal Vouchers (JVs).
Perform monthly payroll reconciliations with Finance and Accounts teams.
Coordinate with HR, Finance, auditors, and payroll vendors.
Generate payroll MIS, reports, and analytics.
Address employee queries on salaries, tax saving, deductions, payslips and reimbursements
Guide employees on tax saving declarations, Form 16 and Investment proofs
Ensure payroll accuracy, timelines, confidentiality, and audit readiness.

Preferred candidate profile :

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Payroll, preferably in NBFC
Experience managing payroll for large employee populations (3,000+ employees).
Strong understanding of payroll accounting, salary JVs, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience with HRMS/payroll systems and ERP platforms.
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and strict timelines
