Job Description

A Housekeeping Trainer develops and delivers training programs to ensure staff meet cleaning, safety, and service standards. They conduct inductions, teach proper chemical/equipment usage, and audit performance in hotels or facilities, focusing on SOP compliance. Key responsibilities include creating training materials and improving staff productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery: Conduct induction training for new hires and refresher courses for existing staff.
SOP & Safety Training: Instruct on company policies, safety protocols, and proper chemical handling.
Quality Assurance: Perform regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
Material Development: Create and update training materials, manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Performance Monitoring: Assess staff performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity.
Operational Support: Work with management to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Previous housekeeping experience, often 1-3 years, in luxury hotel or hospitality environments is required.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of housekeeping cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to instruct, mentor, and provide constructive feedback.
Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods and demonstrate physical cleaning tasks.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills and the ability to train adult learners.
