Hiring For IT Manager : Mumbai

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead and manage our organizations IT infrastructure, security, and operations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise across networking, firewalls, endpoint management, operating systems, and enterprise security tools. A key focus of this role will be Data Loss Prevention (DLP) implementation, policy management, and Microsoft 365 administration, including mail flow and security rules.

Key Responsibilities: -

IT Infrastructure & Operations

• Manage and maintain overall IT infrastructure including networking, firewalls, servers, and endpoints
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and security across the organization
• Troubleshoot and resolve OS-level issues on Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu/Linux systems
• Ensure proper backup, patching, and system updates across all environments

Networking & Security

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and network security policies
• Implement and enforce IT security best practices to protect organizational data
• Handle incident response and root cause analysis for IT and security issues

Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

• Design, implement, and manage DLP solutions across endpoints, email, and cloud platforms
• Define and enforce DLP policies, rules, and compliance controls
• Monitor DLP alerts, investigate violations, and fine-tune policies to reduce false positives
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure data security and regulatory compliance

Microsoft 365 Administration

• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
• Configure and manage Mail Flow rules, transport rules, spam filtering, and security policies
• Implement and manage Microsoft 365 security and compliance policies, including retention and access controls
• Manage user identities, licenses, and permissions

Asset & Vendor Management

• Oversee IT asset management, including procurement, inventory, lifecycle management, and audits
• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and OEMs
• Ensure cost optimization and budget adherence for IT spend

Leadership & Process

• Lead and mentor IT support staff and engineers
• Define and maintain IT policies, SOPs, and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business requirements
• Plan and execute IT projects, upgrades, and rollouts

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 810 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and operations

Strong knowledge of:

• Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Firewall configuration and management
• Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu/Linux administration
• IT asset management tools and processes

Proven experience with:

• DLP implementation, policy creation, and rule tuning
• Microsoft 365 administration
• Mail Flow rules and security/compliance policies
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong documentation and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft (M365/Azure), Networking (CCNA/CCNP), or Security-related certifications
• Experience with endpoint security, MDM, or EDR solutions
• Prior experience in managing IT for mid to large-scale organizations
