Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead requirement gathering, solution design, implementation, and operational support for Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools and technologies.
Implement, administer, and provide ongoing support for SNOW Software, Flexera, and other related license and asset management platforms.
Maintain a strong understanding of global software licensing models, including but not limited to Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, and other major publishers.
Perform end-to-end administration and management of SAM tools, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Configure and maintain software license management data, entitlements, consumption metrics, and reconciliation logic within SAM tools.
Configure and manage asset parameters, support groups, roles, and access control lists (ACLs) to ensure data integrity and role-based access.
Prepare, upload, and manage asset baseline data, and ensure accurate association of asset modules with related ITSM/ITAM modules.
Execute UI-level customizations and configurations to align tools with business and operational requirements.
Design, develop, and deliver SAM reports, KPIs, dashboards, and compliance metrics for stakeholders and leadership teams.
Manage the addition, modification, and retirement of software agreements and licenses within the system lifecycle.
Configure and maintain Software Recognition Services (SRS) to ensure accurate application identification and normalization.
Manage SSL certificate import, binding, and renewal for Software License Management (SLM) and Software Inventory (SIV) components.
Perform data quality, accuracy, and completeness checks for all SAM datasets to ensure audit readiness and compliance confidence.
Plan and execute regular platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements with minimal business disruption.
Mentor and coach team members to upskill and strengthen capabilities in SAM tools, processes, and licensing best practices.
Lead customer project reviews, governance discussions, and operational checkpoints.
Create and maintain PMO-ready content, including metrics, insights, and summaries for monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
