Position: Head Plant & Machinery

Industry: Construction Equipment (Tower Cranes, Mobile Cranes & Passenger Hoists)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced, highly intellectual, and entrepreneurial professional to lead our Plant & Machinery operations. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive technical knowledge of Tower Cranes, Mobile Cranes, and Passenger Hoists, along with exceptional planning, coordination, and execution skills.

This is a strategic office-based leadership role that requires managing operations through effective planning, communication, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders. The candidate should be capable of driving results, solving operational challenges, and ensuring smooth execution of projects while maintaining high standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all Plant & Machinery operations from the corporate office.
• Develop and implement operational strategies for efficient utilization of Tower Cranes, Mobile Cranes, and Passenger Hoists.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Service, Logistics, Projects, Procurement, Sales, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of work. Monitor equipment availability, deployment schedules, maintenance planning, and project execution.
• Ensure timely mobilization and demobilization of equipment as per project requirements.
• Resolve operational challenges by taking quick, practical, and effective decisions.
• Maintain close coordination with clients, vendors, site teams, and internal departments through calls, meetings, and regular follow-ups. Drive operational efficiency while achieving business targets, timelines, and cost optimization.
• Establish and improve SOPs, operational processes, and reporting systems.
• Monitor team performance and ensure accountability across departments.
• Prepare MIS reports, equipment utilization reports, planning schedules, and management updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Strong technical knowledge of Tower Cranes, Mobile Cranes, Passenger Hoists, and related construction equipment.
• Proven experience in planning, execution, coordination, and operational management.
• Ability to think and act like an entrepreneur, taking complete ownership of business operations rather than simply performing assigned tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines and business objectives.
• Highly organized with excellent planning and follow-up skills.
• Soft-spoken, composed, and calm under pressure, with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and operational reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
• 7 to 15+ years of relevant experience in construction equipment, heavy machinery, crane rental, or infrastructure industries.
• Demonstrated experience managing plant operations, equipment planning, and cross-functional coordination.
