Job Description

Job Summary:

Lead the end-to-end product development and design function for diamond jewellery, driving innovation, trend-led collections, and commercial success. The role requires a strong blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and market understanding

Key Responsibilities:

Lead design strategy and product development for diamond jewellery collections (bridal, fashion, special occasion etc.)
Translate market trends, customer insights, and brand vision into commercially viable designs
Oversee the entire product lifecycle concept, design, prototyping, and final production
Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to ensure quality and timelines
Drive innovation in design, materials, and craftsmanship
Manage and mentor the design team, fostering creativity and performance
Ensure alignment with brand identity, pricing strategy, and profitability targets
Work closely with sales/marketing/production teams for product launches and campaigns

Key Requirements:

10-15 years of experience in diamond jewellery design and product development and min. 5 years as HOD
Strong portfolio showcasing commercial and high-end jewellery designs
Expertise in CAD tools (Rhino, Matrix, or similar)
Deep understanding of diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery manufacturing processes
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
Ability to balance creativity with business and market needs
