Job Description

The FX Supervisor leads the FX team across projects, overseeing both the artistic direction and technical execution of complex simulations. The role ensures high quality, production ready visual effects that integrate seamlessly into live action and CG environments. Working closely with the VFX Supervisor and Producers, you will define simulation approaches, plan shot execution, and guide the team through delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and review FX work across sequences
Supervise simulations including fire, smoke, water, destruction, particles, and procedural effects
Define shot specific simulation strategies
Collaborate with Production to assess timelines and technical requirements
Develop and maintain Houdini based FX setups
Ensure clean scene organisation and smooth department handoffs
Troubleshoot complex simulation challenges

QUALIFICATIONS:
8 plus years of experience in high end VFX production
Strong command of Houdini and procedural workflows
Experience supervising FX teams on film, episodic, or immersive projects
Solid understanding of lighting, rendering, and compositing integration
Ability to balance creative quality with production schedules
