Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Respond promptly to fire, chemical leakage, gas leakage, and emergency situations.
• Operate and maintain firefighting equipment such as hydrant systems, fire extinguishers, fire pumps, hoses, and breathing apparatus.
• Conduct routine inspection and testing of fire protection systems and emergency equipment.
• Participate in mock drills, emergency evacuation drills, and rescue operations.
• Ensure availability and readiness of firefighting equipment at all times.
• Monitor hot work, confined space work, and other hazardous activities.
• Maintain records of fire equipment inspection, drills, and incidents.
• Assist in implementation of plant safety policies and emergency response procedures.
• Coordinate with the EHS department during audits and statutory inspections.
• Promote awareness regarding fire prevention and safe work practices among employees and contractors.
• Attend emergency situations during shift operations as required.

Preferred candidate profile

We are looking for a disciplined and physically fit Fireman to handle fire prevention, emergency response, and safety activities at the chemical plant. The candidate will be responsible for operating firefighting equipment, responding to emergencies, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with plant safety procedures.
