Job Summary:

Vimal Fire Controls Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer Mechanical with hands-on experience in the fire protection industry. The candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure competitive and compliant proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for fire protection systems including fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire alarm, and suppression systems.
• Study and analyze tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for inputs and clarifications.
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals for government and private sector tenders.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate for cost-effective solutions.
• Conduct site visits, if required, to understand project scope and site conditions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety standards (NBC, NFPA, etc.).
• Maintain estimation data, cost records, and project documentation.
• Identify value engineering and cost optimization opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in estimation within the fire protection industry.
• Strong knowledge of fire fighting systems (hydrant, sprinkler, suppression systems, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tender documents.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools/software.
• Good understanding of BOQ preparation, costing, and rate analysis.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in handling government tenders and approvals.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with fire safety codes and standards.
