Job Description
Role : Estimation Engineer - CGD
Responsibilities
1 Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand scope
2 Prepare quantity take-offs for pipelines, connections, and associated works
3 Develop cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads
4 Perform rate analysis and unit cost build-ups
5 Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotations
6 Prepare techno-commercial proposals and bid documents
7 Identify project risks, exclusions, and assumptions
8 Support bid clarifications, negotiations, and revisions
9 Assist in project handover after award
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications : Bachelors or Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Relevant experience in CGD, pipelines, or oil & gas projects preferred.
Experience: 37 Years experience.
Technical Knowledge
1 City Gas Distribution systems and pipeline networks
2 Steel and MDPE pipeline installation
3 Trenching, HDD, testing, and commissioning
4 BOQ preparation and cost estimation methods
5 Tendering and contract basics
Skills
1 Strong analytical and numerical skills
2 Attention to detail and accuracy
3 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
4 Good communication and coordination ability
5 Understanding of commercial and contractual terms
