Equity Research Analyst - Investment Banking - 4+ years - Chennai / Mumbai

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with 2+ years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Research, or Financial Services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to financial modeling, valuation, company analysis, and financial statement analysis. If you have a strong understanding of equity markets and enjoy working in a fast-paced research environment, this opportunity offers excellent learning and growth potential.

Responsibilities

1. Supporting Equity Research Analysts in day-to-day research activities and sector coverage.
2. Building, maintaining, and updating company and industry financial models.
3. Creating and managing databases using information gathered from multiple sources.
4. Preparing research publications including earnings previews, reviews, flash notes, and thematic reports.
5. Conducting financial statement analysis, valuation, and sector research for investment recommendations.
6. Monitoring company and industry developments and incorporating updates into research reports.
7. Assisting in identifying investment themes and differentiated research ideas.
8. Preparing presentations and investment research decks for internal and client use.
9. Responding to client queries related to designated sectors and coverage areas.

Requirements

1. Having 2+ years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Research, or Financial Services domain.
2. Demonstrating strong expertise in Financial Modeling, Valuation, and Financial Statement Analysis.
3. Having sound understanding of financial markets, accounting concepts, and investment research.
4. Possessing strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
5. Demonstrating proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
6. Having exposure to Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet, or similar tools will be preferred.
7. Holding MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA / Equivalent qualification.
