Purpose of Position

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong design and EPC background to support the design review, verification, and assurance of electrical systems for oil and gas projects and various other Industrial projects

2. Key Responsibilities

Perform design review and verification of electrical systems for oil and gas facilities and various other Industrial projects.
Review electrical design deliverables including design basis, philosophies, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), power generation and distribution systems (MV & LV).
Review UPS systems, earthing, bonding, and lightning protection designs.
Review electrical equipment specifications and datasheets (generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, cables, panels).
Perform compliance checks against applicable international codes and standards.
Identify design gaps, deviations, and non-compliances and raise formal review comments.
Conduct inter-disciplinary design checks with mechanical, instrumentation, civil, and process disciplines.
Prepare and review technical reports, comment registers, and verification documentation.
Participate in technical meetings and provide independent engineering input.

3. Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)

Time taken to perform the review & deliver reports to the client
Quality of Work and Quality of reports
Deliver to client as per contract and client expectations.
Client relationship – Retention and Growth.
Training team members in various competencies as communicated by the Manager.
Compliance of internal and external guidelines, policies, procedures.
Meet the Internal and external customer service satisfaction scores (e.g. number of complaints)

4. Professional Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Instrumentation engineering.
Professional engineering certification or progress toward certification is an advantage.
Membership in relevant professional engineering institutions is a plus.

5. Experience

Approximately 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably around 10 years, in electrical engineering for oil and gas or petrochemical projects.

Experience working in Design and/or EPC organizations is strongly preferred.
Exposure to FEED and detailed design phases, and design review or verification activities.

6.Technical Knowledge/Competencies/Functional Competencies

Working knowledge of international electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, API).
Experience with electrical power generation and distribution systems (Medium & Low Voltage systems)
Understanding of hazardous area electrical design and safety-critical systems.
Ability to review calculations, identify issues, and propose practical engineering solutions.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
