Job Description

Role Overview:
The Head of Formulations is responsible for leading the formulation development of products, ensuring quality, stability, regulatory compliance, and innovation. The role involves overseeing formulation research, product development, process optimization, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Formulation Development

• Lead the development and optimization of product formulations as per business and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure formulation stability, efficacy, and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• Oversee scale-up of formulations from laboratory to commercial production.

2. Research & Innovation

• Drive innovation by developing new formulations and improving existing products.
• Evaluate new raw materials, technologies, and ingredients to enhance product performance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in formulation science.

3. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure formulations comply with regulatory standards and industry guidelines.
• Support regulatory submissions and provide necessary documentation for approvals.
• Maintain formulation documentation and technical records.

4. Process Optimization

• Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth transfer of formulations to manufacturing.
• Optimize processes to improve product quality, yield, and cost efficiency.

5. Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure formulations meet quality standards.
• Investigate formulation-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

6. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the formulation development team.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with R&D, production, quality, regulatory, and marketing teams for successful product development and launch.
• Provide technical inputs for product improvements and troubleshooting
