About the Role

Were looking for a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer who will own and operate the entire

DevOps, Security, and Cloud Infrastructure stack for our SaaS platform.

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role—you’ll be the single point of responsibility for:

• CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud infrastructure
• Application & infrastructure security
• Reliability, monitoring, and scaling

You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure secure, scalable, and

production-ready systems from day one.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD & Release Engineering

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
• Automate build, test, and deployment workflows
• Implement blue-green / rolling deployments
• Ensure fast, reliable, and repeatable releases

Cloud Infrastructure (Ownership)

• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily Linode (Akamai), Cloudflare

AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible and Terraform
• Manage environments (dev, staging, production)
• Ensure scalability, high availability, and cost optimization

Security (DevSecOps Core)

• Embed security into the SDLC (shift-left approach)
• Implement:
• SAST / DAST pipelines
• Dependency scanning
• Container security
• Ensure compliance with standards like OWASP Top 10
• Manage secrets, access control, and identity systems
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation

Monitoring, Logging & Reliability

• Set up observability (logs, metrics, alerts)
• Monitor system health and performance
• Implement incident response and root cause analysis
• Improve system uptime and reliability

Containerization & Orchestration

• Containerize applications using Docker
• Manage orchestration (Kubernetes or similar)
• Optimize container performance and scaling

Collaboration & Enablement

• Work closely with engineering teams to improve deployment practices
• Define best practices for DevOps and security
• Enable developers with self-service tools and workflows

Required Skills

Core DevOps

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps / DevSecOps roles
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Linode / Digital Ocean

AWS/GCP/Azure)

Infrastructure & Automation

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible preferred)
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, and Javascript)
• Experience managing production environments
• Strong experience in Linux administration and hardening

Security

• Understanding of application and cloud security best practices
• Experience with:
• Vulnerability scanning tools
• Secrets management
• Identity & access management (IAM)
• Knowledge of secure coding and deployment practices

Containers & Orchestration

• Experience with Docker
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools

Monitoring & Reliability

• Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar
• Understanding of incident management and alerting systems

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with SaaS or multi-tenant architectures
• Familiarity with API-first and microservices architectures
• Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA)
• Knowledge of zero-trust security models
• Experience optimizing cloud costs in early-stage startups
