SEWB (Social & Emotional Wellbeing) is an AI-powered digital health platform headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, building a global mobile ecosystem that enables individuals and families to monitor wellbeing, integrate wearable health data, access carers and community services, and receive AI-driven health insights.

Our platform leverages AWS serverless architecture, AI/ML technologies, and mobile-first design to deliver scalable and secure digital health services across multiple regions.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain the cloud infrastructure supporting the SEWB mobile platform.

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth deployments, infrastructure reliability, and strong monitoring across the SEWB ecosystem.

You will support serverless backend services, mobile application infrastructure, AI/ML integrations, and secure data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for the SEWB platform • Manage serverless deployments using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related services • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation • Configure and maintain secure environments using AWS IAM, Cognito, and security best practices • Monitor system performance using CloudWatch, logging systems, and alerting tools • Support backend services including Node.js APIs, databases (Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB), and S3 storage • Assist development teams with deployment automation and environment configuration • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies • Ensure platform reliability, uptime, and security compliance for sensitive health data

Required Skills & Experience

• 35 years experience in DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure roles • Strong experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM)
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar) • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) • Experience managing containerized or serverless application deployments • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and system performance optimisation • Familiarity with database infrastructure (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) • Strong troubleshooting and automation skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working with serverless architectures at scale • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure (Amazon SageMaker) • Experience supporting mobile backend platforms or health-tech applications • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration • AWS Certifications (DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect)
