Design Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and assembly drawings.
Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings based on project requirements.
Create and revise fabrication layouts, structural drawings, and manufacturing details.
Coordinate with the Production, Project, and Quality teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and material take-offs.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and customer requirements.
Support the fabrication team by resolving drawing-related issues during manufacturing.
Maintain proper documentation and revision control of all design drawings.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical inputs for project execution.

Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, sheet metal, and structural fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Familiarity with BOM preparation and material estimation.
Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
