Job description:

Creating 2D/3D models, engineering drawings, and specifications for mechanical components and systems.
Conducting calculations, simulations, and testing to validate designs and ensure performance.
Working with cross-functional teams (e.g., electrical engineers, manufacturing, product management) to integrate designs and ensure successful product development.
Choosing appropriate materials and specifying components like pneumatic parts, gearbox, motors, etc. for various applications.
Preparing comprehensive design documentation, conducting design reviews, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Identifying and resolving design issues during production, optimising designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Expertise in CAD software like Solid Works and AutoCAD
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and materials selection.
Ability to analyse complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and optimise designs.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Good knowledge of SPM design, conveyors and material handling systems.
