Design Engineer (Process Equipment)

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Design Engineers who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and turning ideas into practical, reliable, and manufacturable products. This is more than a drafting role you will work closely with Production, Projects, Quality, Purchase, and Service teams to develop innovative solutions and continuously improve our products.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & Development

• Design and develop new components, assemblies, and industrial machinery.
• Prepare 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Create detailed fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly drawings.
• Design products that are safe, reliable, cost-effective, and easy to manufacture.
• Participate in new product development and product improvement initiatives.

Engineering Documentation

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Generate detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T where applicable.
• Prepare assembly manuals, exploded views, and engineering documentation.
• Maintain revision control and engineering records.
• Ensure documentation complies with company standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Production to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Coordinate with Purchase for material selection and vendor capabilities.
• Support Projects during execution and resolve engineering queries.
• Assist Quality in addressing manufacturing and inspection issues.
• Provide technical support to Service and Sales whenever required.

Design Validation

• Review designs for strength, functionality, manufacturability, and maintainability.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
• Resolve engineering issues identified during manufacturing or assembly.
• Incorporate lessons learned into future designs.
• Support prototype development and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to simplify designs and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Standardize components wherever possible.
• Improve existing products based on customer feedback and manufacturing experience.
• Develop design standards and reusable engineering practices.
• Contribute ideas that improve product performance, quality, and reliability.
