Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Responsibility for the overall design (on AutoCAD) of Plumbing systems ( Drainage & water supply system) & deliverables, including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ/ BOM on Excel, Schedules and Drawings)
• Ability to design complete distribution systems to current legislation and codes (NBC and EN code) of practice for various type of buildings based on client brief & guidelines/ requirements. ( Single stack, two stack system)
• Ability to work independently and as well design team member on various calculations and layouts/schematic mark-ups as per project requirements.

This job also involves the following aspects -

• Ability to independently communicate with Clients in written and spoken English & Hindi.
• Ability to independently create Plumbing & design mark-ups and perform calculations
• Ability to do independent site visit as per drawing installation inspection and guide Jr. Engineer, Site engineer, site plumbers team etc. on-site support during site visits in Mumbai, Maharashtra and get work done as per standards and prepare site visit reports.
• Ability to get trained on and work on newer Design Software in future.
• Ability to undertake offshore / on site visit to client office if required for detailed training and one to one session in India.
• Ability to visit site and explain drawing and BOQ and technical presentation on products used in design & BOQ with sales team.
• Ability to do demo / mockup on site as per plumbing drawing (Drainage and water supply)

Educational Qualifications Needed:

Diploma/ BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with relevant technical qualifications or Relevant experience in Plumbing designing & site support.

Key Skills And Experience Needed:

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in designing of Plumbing systems for Major residential projects, commercial, Bungalow, hospital projects.
  • Experience in design of Drainage, water supply and sewerage including necessary calculations, Detail drawing layout for internal & external water and drainage system.
  • Experience in fire protection systems design of sprinklers, external & internal hydrant system, fire pump & tank systems design, hydraulic calculations is added advantages.
  • Experience of having worked on AutoCAD for preparing Design layouts is mandatory.
  • Experience of using MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point Presentation) is mandatory.
  • Proven experience of having successfully managed Client communication.
  

Any of the following criteria, while not necessary, will be considered as an added advantage
• Skills on any of the following Software – Revit
• Worked with International Clients on International Projects.
• Knowledge of Local & international codes like NBC, EN standards, NFPA, Uniform Plumbing code.
