Job Description

Manage procurement activities for Material Handling Equipment (MHE), spare parts, scrap sales, racking systems, IT materials consumables, firefighting systems, PPE safety materials, direct and indirect procurement, office setup, and electrical works.

Coordinate closely with end-user teams to ensure complete clarity on specifications, scope, timelines, and expectations, thereby enabling accurate sourcing and supporting business requirements effectively.

Develop new suppliers for specialized and one-time business requirements, while strengthening and optimizing the existing supplier database to ensure quality, competitiveness, and reliability.

Work collaboratively on long-term procurement strategies, including market intelligence development, category benchmarking, and cost trend analysis, particularly for equipment and capital items.

Manage end-to-end procurement requests (PRs) within SAP, ensuring timely creation, release, tracking, and closure in compliance with internal procurement policies and approval matrices.

Drive cost optimization initiatives and efficiency improvement projects through strategic sourcing, negotiation, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.

Handle end-to-end vendor coordination, including follow-ups from inquiry stage through order placement, delivery, installation, and final project implementation.

Lead commercial negotiations with external vendors to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions; present recommendations to stakeholders and management.

Ensure suppliers submit digitally signed invoices against all purchase orders; monitor and close open contracts, PRs, and POs in a timely and compliant manner.

Act as a strategic business partner, leveraging market knowledge, procurement best practices, and problem-solving skills to address business challenges and add value.

Possess hands-on experience in handling internal and external audit activities, including documentation, compliance checks, and audit closures.
