Demand Planner & Replenishment

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Demand Planning & Forecasting

Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and business inputs.
Drive forecasting accuracy through statistical analysis and continuous demand review.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Category teams to incorporate market intelligence into demand plans.
Monitor forecast accuracy and implement corrective actions to improve planning performance.

2. Inventory & Replenishment Management

Ensure optimal inventory levels across manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
Develop replenishment plans to maintain high product availability while minimizing inventory holding costs.
Monitor inventory health, slow-moving inventory, stock-outs, and excess inventory.
Define and review safety stock, reorder levels, and replenishment parameters.

3. Supply Chain Planning

Coordinate closely with Production Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales teams to align demand with supply capabilities.
Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) by providing accurate demand insights and recommendations.
Identify supply risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting

Prepare dashboards and reports on forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, fill rates, and demand trends.
Analyze sales patterns and recommend planning improvements.
Monitor key supply chain KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Process Improvement

Standardize demand planning and replenishment processes across the organization.
Improve planning methodologies through automation and analytics.
Drive initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with planning policies and internal controls.

6. Stakeholder Management

Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams.
Communicate demand changes, supply constraints, and inventory risks to leadership.
Build collaborative relationships to ensure smooth execution of demand and supply plans.

Preferred candidate profile

8 -12 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Planning, or Inventory Management within the FMCG or Food Manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of demand forecasting models and replenishment planning.
Experience working with ERP systems and planning tools.
Proven ability to manage inventory while maintaining high customer service levels.
Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
Experience in driving S&OP processes and cross-functional planning initiatives is highly desirable.
