Data Engineer - SNMP devices (Routers/ Switches)

What youll do

Model & map data design canonical schemas that unify three disparate NM apps; maintain versioning and backward compatibility.
Design high-throughput pipelines choose/implement brokers and stream processors to land NM events in our SEAL 2.0 layer.
Interface with SNMP ecosystems ingest, normalize, and enrich SNMP v2/v3 traps, polls, and MIB objects; advise on best practices for NOC tooling.
Prototype network-edge agents outline requirements (Go/Python/C) for lightweight collectors should device-side deployment become feasible.
Performance & reliability engineering load-test 24/7 flows, implement retries/back-pressure, and instrument everything with Prometheus.
Collaborate cross-functionally pair with UI/UX, Head-End, and DevOps teams; participate in sizing & road-map sessions

Must-have qualifications

7+ years building data-centric backend services in Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
Hands-on mastery of SNMP architecture(MIB design, getters/setters, traps, security models, typical NOC workflows).
Proven experience designing schemas(Avro, Protobuf , JSON Schema, or GraphQL ) and evolving them in production.
Built and operated streaming pipelines(Kafka, Pulsar, or Flink /Spark Streaming) handling >1 k msgs /s.
Solid grasp of network-management concepts: fault & performance monitoring, polling vs trap models, L2/L3 basics.
Comfort with containerized deployments(Docker / Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform/Helm).
Excellent documentation & cross-team communication skills.
