Cyber Security Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities

Analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause
Monitoring security access
Interpretation of alarms from SIEM, IDS / IPS systems and cloud security solutions
Evaluation of log data and forensic analysis
Anomaly and attack pattern detection along the Cyber Kill Chain
Active stopping of malware spread, CnC communication, active exploits, infiltration and data leakage
Actively learn job relevant new things out of self-interest

Requirements

Education in Information Technology or equivalent working experience
3+ years experience (as L2 or L3) with Microsoft Defender ATP, Nessus, Proofpoint, Azure Security, Office 365 security suite, and various IDS and SIEM technologies
Preferably relevant certifications in information security, such as CISSP, CISA and/or security-related certifications, such as CCSP, OSCP
Thorough understanding of Microsoft products and platforms (IIS, MS SQL Server, Windows Server, Windows 11, etc.)
Knowledge of local and wide area computer networking
Experience in security operations and event monitoring
Out-of-the-box thinking and your ability to communicate as well as your analytical skills will be a plus
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
English fluency in writing and speaking
Readiness to travel, if needed
