Job Description

Purpose

To evaluate, approve, and manage credit proposals for Affordable LAP customers at the branch level, ensuring portfolio quality, risk control, and adherence to credit policies

Experience

23 years in credit underwriting, preferably in:

• LAP (Loan Against Property)
• Affordable housing finance
• SME / Retail credit

Credit Appraisal & Underwriting

• Assess loan applications for Affordable LAP (self-employed & salaried customers)
• Analyze financial statements, bank statements, ITRs, and cash flows
• Conduct personal discussions (PD) with applicants
• Evaluate property collateral and ensure legal/technical compliance
• Prepare detailed credit notes and recommend approvals/rejections

Branch & Business Support

• Work closely with sales/branch teams to structure deals within policy
• Provide guidance on policy norms and feasibility of cases
• Support business growth while maintaining risk discipline

Documentation & Compliance

• Verify completeness and accuracy of loan documents
• Ensure proper KYC, legal, and technical documentation
• Maintain audit-ready files and compliance standards

Portfolio Monitoring

• Track performance of disbursed cases
• Monitor delinquency trends and suggest corrective actions
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews
