Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and result-driven Credit Collection Executive to manage receivables and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from clients. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling credit accounts, follow-ups, and maintaining strong client relationships within the jewellery or similar high-value product industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collections from customers
- Follow up with clients for outstanding payments via calls, emails, and visits if required
- Maintain accurate records of customer credit limits, payment terms, and aging reports
- Coordinate with the sales team to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes
- Perform credit risk assessment for new and existing customers
- Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly collection reports
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements where necessary
- Handle overdue accounts and escalate critical cases to management
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth collections without impacting business
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
- 2 - 6 years of experience in credit control / collections, preferably in jewellery or luxury goods industry
- Strong understanding of credit management and receivables
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in B2B collections (retailers, distributors, wholesalers)
- Knowledge of gold/jewellery billing practices and market dynamics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Reduction in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
- Collection efficiency ratio
- Aging control (30/60/90+ days)
- Bad debt reduction
