Credit Collection Executive - Jewellery Industry

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and result-driven Credit Collection Executive to manage receivables and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from clients. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling credit accounts, follow-ups, and maintaining strong client relationships within the jewellery or similar high-value product industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collections from customers
• Follow up with clients for outstanding payments via calls, emails, and visits if required
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit limits, payment terms, and aging reports
• Coordinate with the sales team to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes
• Perform credit risk assessment for new and existing customers
• Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly collection reports
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements where necessary
• Handle overdue accounts and escalate critical cases to management
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth collections without impacting business

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
• 2 - 6 years of experience in credit control / collections, preferably in jewellery or luxury goods industry
• Strong understanding of credit management and receivables
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in B2B collections (retailers, distributors, wholesalers)
• Knowledge of gold/jewellery billing practices and market dynamics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Reduction in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
• Collection efficiency ratio
• Aging control (30/60/90+ days)
• Bad debt reduction
