Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for products, components, and projects.
- Analyses material, labor, tooling, overhead, and manufacturing costs.
- Develop and maintain cost models and costing databases.
- Support quotation and tender preparation activities.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for supplier pricing and cost validation.
- Conduct value engineering and cost reduction studies.
- Compare estimated costs with actual costs and investigate variances.
- Prepare cost reports, profitability analyses, and management presentations.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, BSc Math/ MBA or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in costing, estimation, manufacturing, or project engineering.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of cost estimation techniques and financial analysis.
