Job Description: Management Consultant Energy &
Hydrocarbons (Downstream)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Management Consultant for a long-term
strategic engagement based in Mumbai. This role requires strong problem-solving capabilities,
domain expertise in the energy/hydrocarbons sector, and a proven track record in strategic
advisory or consulting.

Duration: 9 to 12 months
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Mumbai (On-site)
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business leadership to drive strategic, operational, and commercial
initiatives within the energy/hydrocarbons space.
Lead market assessments, financial modeling, feasibility studies, and operational
improvement projects.
Develop strategic frameworks for downstream operations, with a focus on market
expansion, channel management, and customer engagement.
Structure complex problems, synthesize large data sets, and present actionable
recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
1. Education
Mandatory: MBA / PGDM from a Tier-1 Business School (e.g., IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS,
SPJIMR, etc.)
Undergraduate: B.Tech / B.E. or Chartered Accountant (CA)
2. Experience
Overall Work Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Management Consulting, Strategy, or
Corporate Advisory roles.
Domain Focus: Minimum 2+ years dedicated experience in the Hydrocarbons /
Energy sector, specifically within Downstream Oil & Gas.

3. Functional Skills & Preferences
Preferred Domain Experience: Hands-on exposure to Downstream Marketing,
including:
Fuel Retail Strategy & Network Planning
LPG Operations / Commercial Distribution
Lubricants Market Assessment & Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy
Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
