Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and finalize financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Taxation (Direct & Indirect)
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax filings and returns.
- Handle tax assessments, notices, and liaise with tax authorities.
- Audit Management
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors.
- Ensure timely completion of statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit.
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decisions.
- Accounts & Bookkeeping Oversight
- Supervise accounting activities including journal entries.
- reconciliations, and ledger scrutiny.
- Ensure accuracy of books maintained in accounting systems (e.g., Tally, ERP).
- Compliance & Regulatory Filings
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities such as ROC, GST department, and Income Tax department.
- Monitor statutory deadlines and filings.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Manage banking relationships and financial transactions.
- Process Improvement
- Implement financial controls and improve accounting processes.
- Identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Team Coordination
- Work closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams.
- Guide junior finance/accounting staff when required.
