Job Description
We are hiring a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our clients maintenance team. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles and related equipment to ensure smooth and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HGV vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts as per manufacturer standards
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ensure all maintenance work follows safety regulations and company standards
- Keep accurate records of repairs, servicing, and parts usage
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
