Job Scope

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BMC Helix Discovery Architect to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our IT asset discovery and service modelling initiatives. This role will play a key part in driving our CMDB accuracy, improving service visibility, and supporting ITSM/ITOM strategies across the enterprise.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Design and implement BMC Helix Discovery architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and high availability.
Lead end-to-end deployments : discovery configuration, credential management, patterns, integrations, and upgrades.
Collaborate with ITSM/CMDB, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure accurate service and application modelling .
Develop and maintain custom patterns and automation scripts to extend out-of-the-box capabilities.
Establish best practices for discovery schedules, data normalization, and reconciliation with CMDB.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship , guiding administrators and support teams.
Create architectural documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for ongoing operations

Position Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience with BMC Helix Discovery (ADDM) design and implementation.
Strong expertise in BMC Helix CMDB , ITSM/ITOM integration, and multi-cloud discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency with networking protocols, OS platforms, databases, and application stacks .
Experience with patterns development and REST/SOAP APIs.
Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Configuration, Change, Incident, Problem).
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

Bachelor s degree in Engineering or any other related field.

Experience

BMC Certified Professional/Expert in Discovery and CMDB.
Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, container discovery , or hybrid cloud architectures.
Knowledge of Service Modelling and integration with ServiceNow/BMC Helix ITSM .
