Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic and people-oriented HR Generalist to support the HR function across our retail operations and corporate office. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the retail industry and be capable of managing end-to-end HR activities, including recruitment, employee engagement, HR operations, Performance Management, and Statutory Compliance. The role requires close interaction with store teams, business leaders, and employees to ensure a positive employee experience and alignment with organizational goals. Prior experience in a higher end Retail Brand will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for retail store employees, store managers, and corporate positions.
• Coordinate with business heads and retail operations teams to understand manpower requirements.
• Source, screen, interview, and onboard candidates within defined timelines.
• Ensure smooth induction and onboarding of new employees across locations.

Employee Engagement & Culture Building

• Drive employee engagement initiatives across retail stores and corporate functions.
• Organize employee recognition programs, celebrations, and team-building activities.
• Act as an employee champion by addressing concerns and promoting a positive workplace culture.
• Support retention initiatives and employee welfare programs.

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management

• Maintain employee records and HR documentation with accuracy.
• Handle employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities.
• Ensure timely issuance of HR letters and employee communication.
• Manage attendance, leave records, and employee data through HRMS systems.

Performance Management

• Coordinate performance appraisal cycles and support managers in conducting evaluations.
• Track employee goals, performance reviews, and development plans.
• Assist in implementing performance improvement and succession planning initiatives.

Learning & Development

• Identify training requirements for retail and corporate employees.
• Coordinate product knowledge, customer service, sales, and behavioural training programs.
• Monitor training effectiveness and employee development initiatives.

HR Compliance & Policy Administration

• Ensure adherence to company policies and HR processes across all locations.
• Support compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Maintain employee records and documentation required for audits and inspections.
• Assist in policy implementation and employee awareness programs.

HR Analytics & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain HR MIS reports related to recruitment, attrition, attendance, and employee engagement.
• Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to management for workforce planning and decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

• MBA in Human Resources from a recognized institution.
• 45 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in retail, luxury retail, jewellery, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer-facing industries.
• Strong exposure to recruitment, employee engagement, HR operations, and compliance.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed retail teams will be preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities.
