Job Description
Major Job Responsibilities:
1. Farmer Onboarding:
Reach out to farmers and FPOs in Maharashtra to introduce BharatRohan s services and explain the benefits of precision agriculture.
Assist farmers with the registration process, ensuring all necessary data is captured and stored accurately.
2. KML File Collection:
Collect KML files from farmers, ensuring correct geospatial data for accurate field mapping.
Coordinate with the technical team to upload and process KML files for UAV flights and field monitoring.
3. FPO/Farmer Management:
Maintain regular communication with farmers and FPOs, addressing any questions or concerns regarding BharatRohan s services.
Organize and manage farmer meetings, training sessions, and field demonstrations to ensure engagement and understanding.
4. On-Ground Support:
Provide logistical and operational support during UAV-based data collection, field visits, and other field activities.
Help resolve any on-ground issues quickly, collaborating with the team to ensure smooth operations.
5. Procurement Support:
Assist in managing the procurement of agri-inputs like pesticides, fertilizers, and seeds for farmers, based on their needs.
Ensure timely distribution of inputs to farmers and track usage for optimal crop health and productivity.
6. Field Data Collection:
Collect and document key field data such as crop health, pest infestations, and environmental conditions to support decision-making.
Work closely with the agronomy team to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting for effective intervention.
Skills Required:
Basic understanding of agriculture and farming practices specific to Maharashtra.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with farmers and team members.
Experience working with farmers or within the agricultural sector.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Problem-solving attitude and the ability to provide on-ground support when needed.
