About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Assistant Procurement Manager to strengthen our procurement team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing semiconductor and electronic components, developing supplier relationships, evaluating vendor quotations, and supporting the sales team with competitive pricing.
The candidate will play a key role in vendor development, procurement strategy, cost optimization, and ensuring timely and competitive quotations for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new domestic and international suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, authorized distributors, and independent suppliers.
• Continuously expand the vendor network to improve sourcing capability and pricing competitiveness.
• Assess vendor performance based on pricing, quality, delivery, and service.

Procurement & Quote Analysis

• Analyse quotations received from suppliers considering pricing, lead time, MOQ, authenticity, packaging, and commercial terms.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Identify alternate sourcing options for hard-to-find and obsolete components.

Vendor Comparison & Commercial Review

• Review procurement team's vendor comparison reports for accuracy and commercial viability.
• Recommend the most suitable sourcing option based on cost, reliability, lead time, and risk.
• Ensure procurement decisions align with company profitability targets.

Sales Support

• Finalize and release the best commercial quotation to the Sales team.
• Work closely with Sales to develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Provide procurement insights on market trends, shortages, and pricing fluctuations.
• Support urgent customer requirements with quick sourcing solutions.

Market Intelligence

• Monitor semiconductor market trends, allocation situations, and pricing movements.
• Track manufacturer updates, EOL (End of Life), and PCN (Product Change Notification) announcements.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and alternative sourcing.

Process Improvement

• Maintain procurement documentation and vendor databases.
• Ensure timely closure of RFQs and purchase activities.
• Drive continuous improvements in procurement efficiency and sourcing strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor or electronic components procurement.
• Experience working with manufacturers, franchised distributors, and independent distributors.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor product categories including ICs, Microcontrollers, Power Devices, Passive Components, Sensors, Connectors, and Memory products.
• Good understanding of Incoterms, import procurement, and international sourcing.
