Job Purpose

The role is part of the Central Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Centre of Excellence team and is responsible for driving instrumentation, automation, and process control excellence across manufacturing sites. The incumbent will support digitalization, process stability, and automation-led improvement initiatives across plants.

Responsibilities:

Instrumentation, Automation & Digital Enablement

• Support greenfield and brownfield projects covering instrumentation systems, PLC, SCADA, DCS, and automation architecture
• Participate in design reviews, system configuration, installation, commissioning, and performance validation of automation systems
• Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, and EPC partners for automation-related CAPEX execution
• Support calibration programs, preventive maintenance, and standardization of instrumentation practices across plants
• Assist in implementation of digital solutions for data acquisition, dashboards, and process monitoring

Manufacturing Excellence & Process Improvement

• Support deployment of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement frameworks
• Assist in application of advanced Continuous improvement tools such as DOE, SPC, Data Stratification, Cause & Effect Matrix, and Process Capability Analysis
• Work with Production and Quality teams to improve process stability, yield, and product quality
• Support initiatives to improve automation uptime, control system reliability, and data accuracy

Data, Compliance & Governance

• Collect, analyze, and report process and automation KPIs
• Support structured reporting for Manufacturing Excellence and leadership reviews
• Ensure compliance with instrumentation safety standards, calibration norms, and audit requirements
• Support documentation, SOP development, and knowledge transfer to plant teams

Educational Qualification:

BE / BTech – Instrumentation Engineering

Experience:

• 5 + years of experience of plant operations and manufacturing excellence initiatives
• Industry - FMCG / Chemical manufacturing
