Assistant Manager Cost Estimation & Project Management

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic professional to manage RFQ processes, cost estimation, and end-to-end NPD project execution in the plastic manufacturing domain. The role involves cross-functional coordination, vendor development, and ensuring timely project delivery aligned with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical evaluation of RFQs and accurate cost estimation for projects
• Act as single point of contact between Marketing and D&D teams
• Manage NPD projects including planning, execution, and monitoring through Gantt charts
• Drive project timelines and ensure adherence to customer implementation schedules
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for smooth project execution
• Develop and manage vendors for tools, jigs, fixtures, and spares (Domestic & International China/Taiwan)
• Conduct tool validation and manage in-house PPAP before production handover
• Participate in design reviews (DFM) and suggest improvements
• Implement and ensure adherence to APQP & PPAP processes
• Monitor cash flow and vendor payments for project continuity
• Evaluate and onboard new vendors based on QCDS parameters
• Conduct periodic vendor visits for progress tracking and quality evaluation
• Maintain project data, MIS reports, and present updates to management
• Lead weekly review meetings with internal stakeholders
• Engage in technical discussions with customers to resolve queries

Required Skills:

Must Have:

• Strong knowledge of product costing / mold costing
• Understanding of plastic processing, mold design, and raw materials
• Experience in RFQ handling and project management

Good to Have:

• Vendor development and negotiation skills
• Customer handling and technical discussion capability
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and DFM

Soft Skills:

• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Leadership and stakeholder management
