Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accounting records.
Month-End and Year-End Closing: Manage and execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Supervision: Oversee AP and AR processes, including payment approvals and collections, to maintain optimal cash flow.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to prepare and monitor budgets; conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.
Tax Preparation & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, and stay up-to-date with tax regulations to ensure compliance.
Audit Preparation: Lead preparations for internal and external audits; address auditor inquiries and implement recommended changes.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring adherence to accounting principles.
