Department: Accounts & Finance

Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer / Director

Location: Pawana Mumbai

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the overall accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with statutory regulations, and timely preparation of financial reports. The role includes supervision of junior accounting staff and coordination with auditors, banks, and tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting

• Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure accurate recording of all transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts

2. Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
• Handle TDS calculation and returns
• Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, and other statutory regulations
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory and tax audits

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Monitor receivables and follow up for outstanding payments
• Oversee vendor payments and reconciliation
• Maintain aging reports

4. Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Monitor expenses against budgets
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management

5. Other Duties

• Maintain fixed asset register
• Support management in financial decision-making

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
• 5–10 years of relevant accounting experience

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Expertise in GST, TDS, and taxation laws
• Proficiency in Tally Prime latest rlease / ERP software / MS Excel
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
