Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with foundational accounting knowledge and practical experience in maintaining company books and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities:

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. Key duties include:

Data Entry and Bookkeeping:

Accurately putting entries (journal vouchers, cash/bank transactions, etc.) into the accounting system.
Maintaining and managing accounts payable and receivable.
Processing and recording company transactions in a timely manner.

Ledger Maintenance:

Systematically making ledgers and ensuring all general ledger accounts are reconciled and balanced.

Financial Reporting:

Assisting in the preparation of key financial reports, including the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement.

Software Proficiency:

Expertly using Excel for various accounting tasks, including data analysis, reconciliation, and report generation.

Requirements:

Experience: 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (Debit/Credit rules, etc.).
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
