Role : Academic Research Editor
Job location : Remote
Department : Editing
Shift time : Rotational shift from 7 am to 11 pm (Any 9 hours within this window)

Working days : 5-day week with rotational week offs

Job Description:

We are seeking Academic Editors with strong subject-matter expertise and excellent language skills to work on scholarly manuscripts across a range of disciplines. The role involves reviewing academic documents for language, technical accuracy, consistency, and formatting to ensure they meet international publication standards.

As an Academic Editor, you will serve as an author's second set of eyes, combining subject knowledge with editorial expertise to enhance the clarity, accuracy, and presentation of research documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit manuscripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, and overall language quality.
• Review content for subject-specific accuracy, logical flow, consistency, and appropriate use of terminology.
• Identify and address ambiguities, inconsistencies, and potential technical inaccuracies within the manuscript.
• Format documents in accordance with relevant style guides, publisher requirements, and journal specifications.
• Ensure consistency in citations, references, tables, figures, equations, abbreviations, and document structure.
• Perform detailed quality checks to deliver publication-ready manuscripts.
• Provide clear and constructive author-facing comments wherever clarification or revision is required.
