Job Description

Role & responsibilities :

* System Monitoring:

Assist in monitoring IT infrastructure, networks, servers, applications, and databases using standard monitoring tools.

* Incident Detection & Escalation:

Identify alerts, warnings, or anomalies and promptly escalate issues to senior engineers or relevant teams.

* Basic Troubleshooting Support:

Support the team in investigating system alerts and errors and help document findings.

* Performance Monitoring:

Help track system and network performance metrics and report observations to the team.

* Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain logs, reports, and documentation related to system monitoring activities and incidents.

* Team Collaboration:

Work closely with IT, Network, and Security teams during incidents and planned activities.

* Learning & Continuous Improvement:

Learn monitoring best practices and assist in improving monitoring processes under guidance.

* Tool & System Support:

Assist in basic configuration checks and updates of monitoring tools as directed.

Qualifications:

* Educational Background:

Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

* Technical Knowledge (Basic Understanding):

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Basic understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
