Job Description
Job Purpose:
This role oversees inventory and Demand Planning governance across business units and supply clusters. This role defines inventory norms and targets globally, and drives Demand planning governance to run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and experience in demand planning with a strong focus on process governance.
Key Accountabilities:
I. Inventory Governance and Process Leadership
Act as the process lead for the RMPM inventory and COPE control tower across shared supply clusters (e.g., India geo).
Manage weekly and monthly governance meetings in collaboration with Finance and Supply Chain teams.
Ensure timely communication and resolution of governance deviations and escalations.
Define and roll out global inventory norms and targets in line with corporate policies and service objectives.
Monitor key inventory performance metrics (e.g., coverage, turns, COPE) and track adherence to norms.
II. Demand Planning Execution
Run monthly demand planning jobs in SAP IBP to generate statistical forecasts.
Review and validate forecast outputs for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure planning cycle adherence to timelines and governance standards.
III. Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis
Debug and resolve issues during the planning cycle, such as gaps in forecast output or data mismatches.
Identify recurring issues and coordinate corrective actions with IT and process owners.
Maintain a log of issues and resolutions to support continuous process improvement.
IV. Governance & Reporting
Prepare and publish monthly reports and performance dashboards.
Track and report key metrics.
Ensure compliance with planning SOPs and internal audit requirements.
Analyse forecast performance and identify drivers of inaccuracy including insights and recommendations to improve statistical forecast quality.

Finalize inventory norms, COPE reporting cadence, and governance metrics for assigned clusters.
Prioritize corrective actions for inventory deviations and cost optimization.
Approve governance frameworks and templates for periodic reviews.
Recommend adjustments to inventory norms or policies based on performance analysis.
Suggest process or technology enhancements to improve control tower efficiency.
Approve data corrections and configuration adjustments within IBP planning cycles.
Define prioritization for issue resolution and planning exceptions.
Validate forecast baselines before release for downstream planning.
Recommend process or system enhancements to improve planning accuracy.
Suggest cross-functional initiatives to resolve recurring forecast or data challenges.
Skills & Knowledge:
Educational qualifications & Relevant experience:
MBA from Tier 1 College;
4 to 6 years experience in Demand Planning, inventory management (pharma experience preferred)
Competencies Skills:
Experience with SAP ECC and IBP preferred
Analytical & Problem-solving abilities (Advanced excel skills)
Data visualization (like Tableau/Power BI)
Communication Skills (clarity of thought, comprehension)
Interpersonal & Collaboration Skills
Personality traits (Team player, Outspoken, positive attitude, Maturity level etc.)
