Position Title: Engineer CAPEX Procurement (Automotive / Commercial Vehicles)

Experience: 2–3 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial Engineering)

Role Summary:

The Engineer – CAPEX Procurement will be responsible for sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and procurement of capital assets related to commercial vehicles, SUVs, and passenger cars. The role involves close coordination with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely acquisition at optimal cost, quality, and delivery terms.

Key Responsibilities:

CAPEX Procurement:

• End-to-end CAPEX procurement for commercial vehicles, SUVs, cars, and related equipment
• Preparation of RFQs/RFPs, techno-commercial comparisons, and recommendation notes
• Cost benchmarking, negotiations, and supplier finalization

Supplier & OEM Management:

• Liaison with OEMs, dealerships, body builders, and authorized vendors
• Supplier evaluation based on cost, quality, delivery, and service
• Vendor performance monitoring and development

Technical & Commercial Evaluation:

• Understanding vehicle specifications, variants, and customization requirements
• Lifecycle cost analysis including AMC, warranty, spares, and resale value
• Coordination with engineering, fleet, and operations teams

Contracts & Compliance:

• Support PO issuance and contract finalization
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and statutory norms
• Documentation and audit support

Coordination & Reporting:

• CAPEX budget tracking and coordination with finance
• Delivery follow-up, commissioning, and asset capitalization
• MIS, vendor database, and cost reporting

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of commercial vehicles, SUVs, and passenger cars
• CAPEX procurement and cost analysis exposure
• Negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
