Job Title: Credit Underwriter Centralized Underwriting

Location: Juinagar (Navi Mumbai)

Products: Commercial Vehicles
Languages: Only Gujarati required.

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for complete assessment of customers, including cross-verification and due diligence.
Conduct ground-level understanding of various business profiles, especially of self-employed non-professionals, through available documents and evidence.
Ensure underwriting decisions are taken within defined turnaround times (TAT) to meet business requirements.
Provide clear and sound recommendations on proposals in line with company credit policy and risk parameters.
Be proactive and decisive, with the ability to take ownership of decisions in the best interest of the organization.
Conduct training sessions for the Sales and Credit teams on product features and credit policies.
Engage in periodic portfolio reviews, including vendor assessments, early delinquency analysis, and delinquent customer evaluation.
Monitor and analyse portfolio trends to mitigate, transfer, or reduce credit, operational, or fraud-related risks.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality underwriting and portfolio health.

Other Details

This is a centralized underwriting role, fully based out of the Juinagar office no branch visits required.
The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of credit, collateral, operational, and fraud risks within the NBFC space.
