Job Description
General Manager Medico Marketing would be responsible for providing strategic leadership and driving the Medico Marketing and Product Marketing functions for the organisation.
Experience:15 - 20 years in Medico Marketing with at least 5 - 7 years in a senior management role within Pharma/Diagnostics industry managing super-specialized segments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the overall medico/product marketing strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
Lead and mentor the team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with senior management to identify growth opportunities and drive business development initiatives.
Planning, Forecasting and Budgeting for smooth functioning of the department
Marketing & Sales Team Support:
Oversee and implement new product launches aligned with market needs and promotional strategies.
Design and execute training programs for field and marketing personnel on disease areas, therapies, and tests / panels.
Provide strategic medical inputs for marketing and sales activities, including the development and creation of visual aids, educational materials, and promotional content.
KOL & Customer Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to gain insights and drive product advocacy.
Oversee the engagement of KOLs across India for doctor meetings and other promotional activities.
Ensure timely and accurate responses to doctors' and customers' queries related to products and therapeutic areas.
Ensure scientific content shared with KOLs are relevant to recent advances and scientifically correct.
Fostering culture of scientific publications, research articles, blogs and create scientific database.
CME & Workshops:
Plan and Organise Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions and various engagement activities, Round Table Meetings (RTMs), and workshops in various super-specialty segments.
Drive the organization and execution of high-impact medical events and initiatives.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure all medico marketing activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure the team adheres to best practices.
Ensuring scientific content shared are updated and correct.
Staffing & Related activities:
Ensure Staffing, Training & Retention of talents
Collaboration & Cross functional Connects:
Establish and strengthen collaborative relationships with functional partners / heads / team members to ensure timely delivery of new product portfolios.
