Job Title: Marketing Coordinator
Location: Maeers MIT Pune’s MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School
Reporting To: Head of Marketing / Principal
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to support the school’s marketing efforts through on-ground execution, event support, and community outreach. This is an active role involving fieldwork, coordination with partners, and ensuring the school’s visibility in the community. The ideal candidate should be energetic, organized, and comfortable working both on campus and in the field.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
1. Outdoor Visibility & Promotions
- Coordinate and set up outdoor branding materials like banners, hoardings, and school kiosks.
- Arrange for flyers, standees, and branding items in nearby areas, societies, and events.
- Ensure timely placement and upkeep of all outdoor marketing materials.
2. Event Planning & Execution
- Help plan and organize school events such as exhibitions, and fairs.
- Handle on-ground logistics, signage, and parent welcome areas.
- Ensure smooth coordination on event days by supporting set-up and visitor assistance.
3. Participation in External Events
- Represent the school at education fairs, mall activations, society meets, and local exhibitions.
- Prepare event material and coordinate logistics like banners, brochures, giveaways, and staff travel.
- Gather leads and share event feedback for follow-up.
4. Corporate & Preschool Tie-Ups
- Build and maintain relationships with nearby preschools, day care centres, and residential societies.
- Visit corporate offices or housing societies for tie-ups and promotions.
- Support activities like school presentations, student visits, and information sessions.
5. Branding & Display Management
- Ensure all branding (within and outside the school) is neat, updated, and consistent with school guidelines.
- Coordinate setup of display boards, reception visuals, and standees.
6. Community Outreach
- Identify and connect with local communities, influencers, and parent groups for school awareness.
- Distribute flyers, posters, and admission information in key areas and events.
7. Basic Competitor Activity Tracking
- Visit nearby schools to observe events, banners, and marketing campaigns.
- Keep a simple record of competitor promotions, offers, and key dates.
- Share updates with the marketing/admissions team for internal planning.
8. Coordination & Admin Tasks
- Maintain stock of marketing materials.
- Coordinate with vendors, printing partners, and event service providers.
- Keep a record of activities, leads collected, and reports from events.
Requirements:
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Marketing, Mass Communication, or any related field.
- 3– years of experience in a field-based or school marketing role.
- Good communication skills (spoken and written).
- Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours for events.
- Well-organized, proactive, and comfortable with multitasking.
